In November 2024 we conducted an outreach programme with opportunities for primary school pupils to learn about a fascinating part of the human body they have never been told about: the extracellular matrix. â€‹â€‹â€‹ We had a lot of fun teaching primary school pupils about the extracellular matrix. There was excellent engagement from the children whose jaws dropped at the sight of bendy and brittle chicken bones.

Highlights of the programme, including the children’s own 3D models of the extracellular matrix, will be showcased at the meeting.
